PULLED PORK

Ingredients

One third of a long pork loin

1 cup ketchup

4 tablespoons brown sugar

4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

4 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

2 teaspoons liquid smoke

4 dashes of hot sauce

Directions

Put the pork in a crock pot, fat side up, and cook on high for 1 hour (do not add any liquid or sauce - the pork is fatty enough that it will make it's own juices).  Turn the pork over (fat side down) and cook on low for another 5 - 6 hours. (if you go an hour or two longer it will not hurt it as long as it is on low). Remove the pork from the crock pot and place it fat side up on a plate. Scrape the fat off with a knife (it will peel off easily). Using a knife and fork, shred the pork.

Combine the remaining ingredients (ketchup through hot sauce) in a bowl.   Stir together with shredded pork. If you make too much, don't worry - it freezes well.

Tip: For parties, I tripled this recipe (used an entire pork loin). You can only really fit about 1/2 a loin in the crock pot at a time, so if you do the entire thing, either use 2 crock pots, or start cooking the day before and do it in 2 batches.
