CHESS PIE

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
3 egg yolks
1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons white cornmeal
2 tablespoons vanilla extract

6 small tart shells, unbaked

Directions

Cream the butter and sugar and add the egg yolks one at a time. Beat thoroughly after each addition. Blend in the salt, the cornmeal, and the vanilla extract. Fill the pie or tart shells and bake in a 350°F oven for 30 minutes.
